Life Annuity Certain
An annuity that guarantees a certain number of income payments, regardless of whether the annuitant is alive to receive the payments. The annuity payments continue for life if the annuitant lives beyond the guaranteed number of payments. The balance is paid to a beneficiary if the annuitant dies within the guarantee period.

The Insurance Marketing and Communications Association (IMCA) today announced its 2008/2009 line-up of officers and directors, with Richard Look assuming the role of IMCA president. A marketing communications veteran with both agency and insurance company experience, Look currently is vice president of marketing communications for Inventure, Inc., a privately owned insurance services company based in West Chester, Pa.
Look has served as director of communications for Venture Insurance Programs and was vice president of brand marketing for Commonwealth Risk Services. On the agency side, he served as president of Jenkins Advertising, vice president and account supervisor of McAdams, Richman & Ong, and managed e-marketing initiatives through Kingswood Interactive.
“I’m excited to accept this position on the IMCA board at a time of significant growth for the association,” Look said. “We look forward to offering our members continued value through additional networking opportunities and the impressive educational content of our webcasts and annual meeting agenda.”

IMCA also appointed three new board members: Zdenka Melnyk of Manitoba Public Insurance, Krista Winters of American Modern Insurance Group and Mark Friedlander of Main Street America Group.
The 2008/2009 IMCA board also includes: Steve Ryan, M.S., American Institute for CPCU, Insurance Institute for America; Robert Martin, The Co-Operators; Madeline Johnson, The Cincinnati Insurance Companies; Peter Broadbent, Wahlstrom Group; Tom Wetzel, Thomas H. Wetzel & Associates, Inc.; and Gary Kimball, Kimball Communications, LLC.
The IMCAsm is an international organization of insurance communications professionals specializing in marketing, communications, advertising, sales promotion, public relations and media relations. The oldest insurance marketing communications association in North America, it began as the Insurance Advertising Conference (IAC) in 1923 and was renamed in 1984 to better depict the evolving roles of insurance communicators. IMCA’s purpose is to promote excellence in insurance marketing and communications, improve the professional skills of members, foster the sharing of ideas and experiences among members and promote a positive image of the insurance industry.
